A Reflection of SIX months past..
And in a blink it's over, but not without a whole lot of self discovery and a new respect for me, my family, friends and my business along with a new understanding of letting life flow!
Wow! SIX months have gone by and while it seems like it was just the other day I was saying goodbye and letting my life flow in a Southerly direction, I didn't quite stay the course or at least the course I mapped out and thought I was headed. Instead I found myself longing for my sweet and beautiful surroundings of familiarity and the place I call home.
How exciting life is and how grateful I am for being loved and supported in so many surprising and humbling ways. For special, and new friends who accepted and allowed me to expand my heart and dig deeper, learn more and stand tall. For allowing myself to just be, to sit in that uncomfortable zone and let life takes its course knowing what fills my heart.
And so I have taken the lessons I have learned, the growth and new discoveries wrapped it all up inside my heart and headed back, back home to Maine to unwrap, share and continue to nurture my love for facials.
As I continue, and knowing that I am on purpose to share my passion as a health practitioner I will bring health and healing through an expanded heart as a new EMPOWERED Beauty.

Just like we change our wardrobe in the FALL we need to take a look at our skin care routine and make some changes as well. This means a shift from lighter skin care products used during warmer months to slightly heavier products, such as thicker, cream-based cleansers and moisturizers to prep your skin for what’s ahead. These changes will provide stronger barriers and this is especially important for the face, it is the part of the body exposed the most. If much of your time was spent outdoors like boating, walking, hiking or running for example, your complexion needs special attention.
Here are a few tips to transition your skin and give it the recharge it needs to bring that healthy, dewy complexion back and prepare for the season ahead.
As we age, natural exfoliation can take up to 40 days or more, which leads to a buildup of dead skin cells. This means fine lines, uneven skin tone, and in some cases, acne. Incorporating natural fruit enzymes into your skin care regimen is a great way to clean, correct, and polish the skin, as well as deliver nutrition to skin cells. My favorite and most popular and requested treatments for the Fall are the Pumpkin and Papaya Enzyme’s loaded with antioxidants and rich in Vitamin A.
Yes, we hear it all the time drink your water. Do you see fine lines and wrinkles when you look in the mirror? Time to reevaluate your water intake! It IS essential in healthy skin. Water lubricates our joints and aids in moving the toxins out of our bodies, when skin is hydrated, it looks plumper, and the signs of aging are minimized. Even when there's a chill in the air and thirst isn't overwhelming, water consumption needs to be high to combat the dry air. So go ahead and pour yourself a large glass of water and take another to go!
Relax and Enjoy
Schedule a visit for a facial with me,(or your local Esthetician) and let’s map out a plan to give your skin the re-boot it needs! Regular and Seasonal facials are a wonderful way to replenish and rehydrate and keep your skin in great shape. Take this time to relax decompress and renew, your skin will thank you!
Some final tips:
- Avoid products with a high percentage of synthetic ingredients (propylene glycol, petroleum), chemical detergents (sodium laurel sulfates), and artificial colors and fragrances.
- Employ quality skin care products suited to your skin type. My personal favorites are from NYR Organics and Bioelements.
If you are not local and don't have an Esthetician nearby, I can help you select what's right for your skin, Email me your questions and concerns and I can help you create a plan. You can email me at: email@example.com
Cheers to a healthy skin and a beautiful Fall season!
I have been on a roller coaster journey putting this into practice in my own life as so many of us experience the ups and downs of trying to stay physically fit!
PRACTICE and LISTENING are KEYwords. We don't always get it right 100% of the time and that's ok, just don't quit. Listen to your body it will tell you if you have been overworking and mistreating it.
Taking time to heal means listening to your body. How are you planning to treat it TODAY? Your choices today will flow into tomorrow and reflect back to you. What do you want to change about your health? I am working on my endurance and strength, I would love to hear from you!! Post in comments and reactivate what you see for your physical health.
